Founder of Music for Life Music Therapy, Kathy Quain strives to enhance lives through music. A Music Therapist since 1994, she contracts with the Solano County Department of Special Education and with the North Bay Regional Center. A Board-Certified Music Therapist, Kathy is a Past President of the Western Region of the American Music Therapy Association. She completed a Master's in Music Education in Music Therapy at the University of Kansas and trains professionals in healthcare and educational settings to facilitate therapeutic music strategies.



Tim McGinty

Tim McGinty M.T.

A Music for Life Music Therapist since 2002, Tim McGinty currently facilitates music therapy groups for adults with disabilities at PACE (USARC) Day Programs in Vacaville and for seniors with dementia for the City of Fairfield Adult Day Services. His individual clients range from a child with Rett's syndrome through Solano County Special Education to individuals with mental health issues.

Tim attained his Bachelor's of Music Therapy from East Carolina University and completed a Six Month Internship at Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, CA where he worked extensively in the forensic setting with gero-psychiatric clients and others with chronic mental illness. He has facilitated music therapy groups for a wide range of clients including children with autism, individuals with attention deficit disorder, persons with traumatic brain injuries and juvenile offenders.

In addition to his work with Music for Life Music Therapy Services, he is a Rehabilitation Therapist at Napa State Hospital. In 2003, Tim facilitated music ministry for children in India.
